San Diego, CA-MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego anuncia la llegada del prestigiado e internacionalmente reconocido Festival de Cine Latino de San Diego, celebrando su 17edición. Con más de 20 mil asistentes, la proyección de 150 cintas de entretenimiento ganadoras de festivals internacionales que sin protagonizadas por actores como Diego Luna, Jimmy Smits, Cheech Marin, Gael Garcia Bernal, Barbara Mori, Jaime Camil, ItatÍ Cantoral y muchos más. Además contará con celebridades e invitados especiales, reconocidos cineastas, profesionales de la industria fílmica, artistas, y musicos para todas las edades y gustos se concentrarán del 11 al 21 de marzo del 2010 en el Cinema UltraStar Mission Valley en el Hazard Center (a unos pasos de la estación Hazard Center del tren ligero).

Algunos de los filmes que se estarán proyectando durante los 11 días de la 17 edición anual de SDLFF incluyen: LA MISSION protagonizada por Benjamin Bratt, CHEVOLUTION (Gael Garcia Bernal), BACKYARD (Jimmy Smits), CHAMACO (Martin Sheen), SOLO QUIERO CAMINAR (Diego Luna), y la premier en EE.UU. de la cinta REGRESA (Jaime Camil), COSAS INSIGNIFICANTES (Barbara Mori) y muchas más.

Dentro del Marco del Festival de Cine Latino se exhibirán la mayoría de las cintas que han sido nominadas a los premios Ariel en México tales como: CINCO DIAS SIN NORA, NORTEADO, y TRASPATIO entre otras.

Este año SDLFF es mucho más que sólo proyección de películas. El festival SDLFF 2010 incluirá la presentación en vivo de los afamados personajes de  Televisión de Nickelodeon – Dora la Exploradora, Diego, y Kai-Lan; además de presentaciones especiales como Cine Mujer, Cine’Mation, Cine Venezolano; proyección gratis para estudiantes; tributos, talleres; fiestas, música y representaciones en vivo, además de eventos Para la Familia, y mucho más.

Costo de boletos $9.50 para entrada general y $7.50 para estudiantes, personas de la tercera edad, militares y miembros de MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO (requiere ID). Los pases para el Festival de Cine 2010 ya están disponibles. Partly inspired by the Cristero War, “2033” is boldly allegorical and richly designed, heralding the arrival of a visionary filmmaker. Featuring SDLFF 2008 special guest Raúl Méndez.

Along with JJ, an old turtle in charge of the “advanced” technology lab in the agency, Tambo embarks on a wondrous journey to prove he’s got what it takes to be a bona fide agent. Featuring the voices of Jaime Camil and Mexican acting legend Silvia Pinal.

Jean and Pedro are convinced that her visions are manifestations of her illness but she believes that the house is possessed. This stylish horror film is based on a true story.
