“En Durango comenzó su carrera de bandido, en cada golpe que daba se hacía el desaparecido,”  dice el corrido que exalta las correrías de Doroteo Arango aún antes de convertirse en Francisco Villa; ese personaje escurridizo que también a la historia pareció escurrírsele, porque cuando habla de él sólo nos da un personaje a media luz.  Pero esto pasa también con la infinidad de biografías que se han escrito de Villa en el mundo; desde la de Martín Luís Guzmán a la de Friedrich Katz, pasando por las de Elías Torres y Enrique Krauze, entre otros, todas tienen el mismo común denominador: su carácter detractor y descalificador.

La Divina Comedia de Dante Alighieri es una de las obras literarias más detalladas que narran la vida después de la muerte, el cielo, el infierno y el purgatorio de una manera crudamente gráfica. Es considerada una obra maestra de la literatura italiana y universal. Grandes maestros de la pintura la ilustraron incluyendo a Botticelli,  Doré, Dalí y  Bouguereau.

“I love you, you should have read that book a long time ago,” said my boyfriend as we sat in my parent’s front yard soaking up the sun. Women may or may not know the damage they cause their men when angry words are spit out. Thus causing their men to do the usual: get home from work, ignore you or worse… Yes, I know life can be demanding and difficult, but let me tell you something: men are none of that. They are simple, get-it-done kinds of human beings. When genuine love is given, most likely you will get some form of love back. Noticed how I said “some form,” meaning a kiss, a slap on the butt, words of affirmation or a simple “thank you.”
